Join us on Sunday, April 16 for a wonderful Easter celebration! Reservations will be taken from 12-4:30 pm. Chef Patierno will be serving the dinner menu with the following seasonal specials*:

Appetizers
– Pizza Rustica
– Olives all’Oscalana
– Housemade venison Bresaola with Piemontese ricotta and local Kinloch Farm Inc. honey
– Burrata with chives, microgreens, and artisanal olive oil
– Traditional Easter chicken ravioli

Salads
– Roasted beets, Granny Smith apples, and goal cheese with a sherry vinaigrette
– Shaved fennel, blood oranges, and Mediterranean olives with artisanal olive oil and lemon juice

Main Courses
– Housemade seafood ravioli in a lobster butter sauce (pictured)
– Pistachio fettucine with grilled artichokes
– Beef Barolo in a creamy, herbed polenta
– Pan-sautèed Faroe Island salmon with local mushroom

We want to make your holiday season memorable and delicious!  We hope that you’ll dine with us for either Christmas Eve, with seatings from 4-9:30 pm, or for New Year’s Eve dinner.  On Christmas Eve, we will be featuring the Dinner Menu with a festive array of seasonal chef specialties, such as housemade chitarrini with lobster, pan-seared veal chop with fresh herbs, and halibut with local mushrooms.

Holiday Gift, Wine & Art Sale
Sunday, December 4, 12-5pm

Join us on Sunday, December 4, from 12-5pm and let us help make your holiday season a little easier.  We will have specialty Italian items, such as ceramics, soap stones, olive oils, reserve wines (including some signed GD Vajra magnum-sized bottles!) that are perfect for your holiday list.  We’ll also have gift certificates and baskets complete with wine, imported Italian specialities, artisanal olive oil, bread, and tastings of house smoked meats and fish.  Of course, our event wouldn’t be complete without featuring the wonderful art of Robert Patierno, brother of Chef Louis Patierno, whose art can be seen throughout Girasole!

During this festive holiday season, we’re featuring four wines that are perfect for holiday entertaining.  Whether it’s your holiday meal, festive gathering, or a small intimate dinner, these four wines are excellent choices and reasonably priced.

Dolomiti Bianco “K” 2014, Kellerei Kaltern, Alto Adige, Italy
From Italy’s northernmost region comes this fun and delicious wine. Perfect for entertaining or as an aperitivo. This blend of Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Sauvignon is aromatic, fruity, fresh and clean.

Ruchè 2011, Osel, Piedmont, Italy
Made by a farmer in the Castagnole Monferrato region in Piemonte, from the small collection of vineyards dedicated to preserving the Ruchè grape. The wine has intense notes of floral and spice; with a soft and persistent finish.

The Originals Red Wine 2013, Columbia, WA
This red blend readily complements most foods and will have you looking like a super hero no matter what’s being served. Aromas and flavors of white pepper, red rose petal, raspberry, herbal notes of eucalyptus and licorice, and a full finish of ripe red plum, currant and leather make this your versatile go-to holiday wine.

Domaine Saint-Vincent N/V, Albuquerque, NM
The Gruet family’s entry-level sparkling wine that’s surprisingly close to the real deal. Displaying a fine mousse, a mark of well-made wine, and bright fruit notes, it is balanced by a subtle nutty, yeasty note.
