On Father’s Day we will be open for our regular dinner service with seasonal Chef’s specials created with Fathers in mind! Featuring pasture raised, heritage breed Berkshire pork from our friends at Long Stone Farm, and a unique selection of thirst-quenching, food-friendly beers from Italy, Japan, Belgium, and Germany.
From our neighbors in Lovettsville at Long Stone Farm, Chef Lou will be offering brined heritage breed pork chops and house made pork terrine with Calabrian figs for dad’s big day! Justin and Casey, owners and farmers at Long Stone Farm, along with their four children, focus on soil, animal, plant, and human health by practicing a ‘grass-based diversified and regenerative livestock operation’. What this means is that they combine rotational grazing of several species (cattle, pigs, and chickens) to improve soil health and water filtration, and to support the surrounding ecosystems by providing habitats and forage for pollinators and wildlife. This type of farming enables Long Stone Farm to raise their animals without the use of harmful pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides. All of their meat and eggs are antibiotic and hormone-free.
